It’s very important for brides to be clear on their preferences and to be aware of their body shape, no matter what size and what styles, and silhouettes will flatter them. Fit is so important- it’s one of the biggest moments in your life so the gown should reflect that. I remember i was at a friends wedding years back and was helping her get into her dress. she is a full plus size woman almost a size 18 and i watched her step into a full blownball dress! it was a painful sight as the expensive vera wang dress was  definitely not cut out for her shape. She insisted on buying this dress regardless of the ill fit just for the name.

A simpler silhouette is making a comeback even as we will always love long trains and huge ball skirts- simple silhouettes that are more form-fitting and less over the top and embellished are also making a comeback. Textural fabrics are also coming through in bridal looks- more about the fabric details than loads of embellishment. The lace wedding dress will be forever timeless.

What to do with your wedding dress after the big day!

Because our wedding dresses are so priceless and bear fond memories we are always attached to it. For me i want my kids to have a part of it in their major events in life. My daughter's christening dress was made from my part of my wedding dress. i converted my wedding jacket to a dress for her to be part of my wedding memories.  Some brides  hire their dresses to make some cash off it. Be sure to dry clean and store it in a clean place if you are that bride that is too attached to her dress and wouldnt want to part with it.
